A Shortish Biog...

Tony Hands – Guitar & Vox. Intially formed ‘Sons Of Hedon’ back in the 80′s. After a few line-up changes the band morphed into what became Tea For The Wicked. After releasing 6 studio albums and a live CD the band pretty much folded due to other commitments outside of TFTW.

 

Tony Hands wanted to continue playing and after a couple of different bassists, Ed Marks (Drums) and a second guitar player (Tony Paul) The side band which later became The Tea Project were formed.

 

In the meantime, Dean E Holt (Bass) was playing with seminal psyche guitarist Tony Hill (Tony Hill’s Fiction – 2000 – 2009) from the cult late 60’s bands, The Misunderstood & High Tide. Along side Tony Hill, Dean was playing with Sarf London Blues Rockers FatKat.

Fiction then split up in 2008 and Dean Joined Tea For The Wicked for a re-union, Again the band split and Tony Re-igniting The Tea Poject with Dean on Bass.

 

The band jammed with a succession of different drummers but none had the ‘right feel’. This was two years of frustration as the band were not reaching their full potential.

All that was about to change by hooking up with Michael Orloff…

 

Michael Orloff – Drums and Percussion. Having split from local Essex space-Dub-Rockers SilverSpace and at the same time,The Tea Project losing yet another drummer, Mike was drafted in and suddenly the band was solid. Michael is also played with German Heavy Stoner Jam band Electric Moon. Michael has had a checked past and can be seen at weekends playing at various clubs in the west end under the name of Bongolious Maximus where he kickes ass on the Bongos’.
